Dr. Bronner’s was founded in 1948 by Emanuel Bronner, from a German Jewish family, soap makers from father to son for three generations. He used the labels of his high-quality and ecological soaps to spread his message: let us unite across religious and ethnic divisions because otherwise we run to our loss: “We are one or we are nothing!” “. We honor Dr. Bronner’s vision by formulating ethical, ecological and socially responsible products of the highest quality and redistributing a portion of our profits to help build a better world.
